Skyway Homeownership & Greenspace Community Place-Making Workshop
You're Invited: Help Shape the Future of Skyway
Skyway Homeownership & Greenspace Community Place-Making Workshop
June 7–8, 2025
Location TBA
9:00 AM – mid-afternoon daily
Skyway is not just a place—it’s a resilient community with deep roots and a powerful story. And we need your voice to help guide its next chapter.
Homestead Community Land Trust and Skyway Coalition invite 10 community members to join a two-day, Place-Making Workshop to help shape Skyway’s first community-led affordable housing and greenspace development.
This is not your average workshop. It’s part storytelling circle, part design lab, and part cultural homecoming. You’ll explore the historical forces that have shaped Skyway—including redlining and cultural displacement—and engage in hands-on activities that center community values, creative expression, and intergenerational wisdom.
Why You Should Apply
Help continue shaping the future of Skyway as a community, rooted in its unique culture, history, and people.
