Who can get involved with Skyway Coalition's programs?
Everyone! Whether you live, work, or just care about Skyway, you’re welcome to join us. We are proud to work with residents, local businesses, and organizations who share our desire to uplift Skyway.

What is a Community Land Trust?
A Community Land Trust (CLT) is a nonprofit organization that acquires and manages land for the benefit of a community, typically to provide affordable housing and prevent displacement. The CLT retains ownership of the land and grants long-term, renewable leases or purchases to individuals or families for homes or other structures built on the land. This model ensures that the land remains affordable and community-controlled, promoting stable, equitable development and fostering local stewardship and sustainability.

Does Skyway Coalition offer housing?
Not yet, but someday! Our Skyway Affordable Homeownership and Green Space Project is in the early stages of development. In partnership with Homestead CLT, we are working towards acquiring the land. We are building a community land trust with up to 55 new homes and a green space that allows first-time buyers to own an affordable home that remains affordable to future owners.

Where is Skyway Coalition located?
Our office is under construction and will be located in the Skyway Resource Center at 12610 76th Avenue, South Seattle, WA 98178, in Skyway. The building will open in the first half of 2025.

How can I learn more about the Skyway Farmers Market and Bazaar?
