Please join us for the third session of the Skyway Anti-Displacement Workshop Series, a community learning space developed by Skyway Coalition in partnership with People’s Economy Lab.

In workshop one, we introduced the Community Development Association (CDA ) model and grounded ourselves in Skyway’s anti-displacement history. In workshop two, we explored Community Wealth Building as a framework for equitable economic development. In this third session, we’ll look at the anti-displacement projects already taking shape in Skyway, hear from project leaders, and explore how a Skyway CDA can best support the work ahead.

In this workshop, we will:

• Ground ourselves in Skyway’s history, the forces driving displacement and lessons from the first two workshops

• Explore anti-displacement and housing projects underway in our neighborhood

• Hear from leaders advancing anti-displacement work in Skyway

• Identify key gaps, priorities, and opportunities

• Explore how a Skyway CDA can help strengthen and align these efforts 

This series is open to residents, community leaders, organizations, and anyone invested in a future where Skyway remains a place where longtime residents, families, and small businesses can stay, grow, and thrive.

Important anti-displacement work is happening in Skyway right now. This workshop is a chance to take stock of that work, learn from it and continue shaping a stronger community-controlled development strategy for the future.
