Operations Lead

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000

Location:  Hybrid of remote and in-person; Skyway

Position type: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week, currently funded for two years, flexible work schedule with occasional night/weekend work.

Job Summary:

Skyway Coalition seeks an Operations Lead with strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. This role combines operational and administration support for our small and dedicated team, contributing to uplifting our wonderful community.


Operations Lead Skills:

  • Strong communicator with staff, partners, and community members

  • Nimbleness relating to planning for change

  • Ability to develop processes to ensure effective implementation of new approaches, procedures, or methods

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Facilitate arrangements for travel and logistics for external and internal meetings, speaking engagements, and conferences

  • assist in preparing meeting agendas and materials

  • Invoice reconciliation, submit expenses and receipts for the team

  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory

  • Coordinate event planning

  • Oversee multiple organizational email accounts and respond to inquiries as appropriate

  • Draft written reports, briefs, presentations, and other documents for internal and external audiences

  • Check Coalition Post Office Box (bi-weekly in person)

  • Demonstrate an ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information effectively

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community and community partners

  • Continuously improve work methods to increase overall efficiency and quality

  • Digital filing and document organization in Google Drive

  • Manage meeting notes

  • Ability to navigate complex challenges and conversations while holding space for multiple perspectives across multiple stakeholders

  • Flexibility for other projects

  • Center community in all aspects of work

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in an operations or administrative role supporting a team. Or a combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides an equivalent background required to perform the work.

  • Strong interpersonal, human relations, and community skills.

  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Zoom, and relevant reporting tools.

Successful candidates will be ready to hit the ground running, bringing strong core skills and an excitement for building with community in a rapidly growing grassroots organization. 

Skyway Coalition operates in a flexible environment where remote work is supported and encouraged. Meeting in person may be required for conferences, community events, retreats, and other occasions.
